Fun Times

Well, I feel like I need to write something just because it has been almost a week since last time. I made several attempts, but could not come up with anything that would be worth me writing or you reading. I really am not sure that this will be worth it either, but it is a chance I am willing to take. Okay, so here are some non important things that have happened..or are going to happen. Tomorrow I am driving to Prince George with Reide and Patti, and the cop that taught me how to shoot a bbgun last week. We went out for dinner with them the other night and I don't think there was even ten seconds of silence the whole meal. Should make for an interesting trip. Yesterday I went to the bank to get travellers checks for my team, and since the lady took so long, she gave us all tim hortons gift certificates. Today Bernell made us cinnamon buns for breakfast. Soon I will be back in Mission, and I will get to see Jordan. I watched Space Jam last night. I think that is about it.

The Break up

So, seeing how much I love romantic comedies, today me and Patti went to see the break up. For those of you who don't know what it is about, i will give you a quick overview. There is a guy and a girl and, wait for it....they break up! I know, no one saw that coming. That pretty much sums up the whole movie. The only redeeming point is that they don't get back together in the end. (Sorry if that wrecked the movie for some people...but hey, its not that good anyways) The point of this blog is this...if you are ever bored and think to yourself 'maybe I should go see the breakup'...DON'T.

Cousin, if you love me, won't you please please smile?

Creepy, I know. But fun all the same. Tonight we went to "Bonnie and Wanda's excellent adventure". It was a random cowboy/hick/farmer/redneck fun night with all the people from summer teams. It was quite interesting. My favorite part was shooting pop cans with a bbgun with the help of a cop. We also had some barrel races on peoples backs, and played a true hick version of the honey if you love me game. The best part was when Leah came out with the line "I've always wanted to sit on a cop's lap before". Good thing his wife was in the house.

Well, I should probably go to bed seeing as it is after one and I have to get up for church tomorrow. It is finally a full day off, which is quite exciting. No VBS for a full 24 hours. What more could you want? I love my life.

Frankies

How many small town flower shops, that are only open 9-5, do you come across at 1am and find their lights still on and people inside. I know you are all wondering why I would be out walking past flower shops at one in the morning when I am supposed to be in bed by 12..but that is beside the point. The real point is that I think Cassy was right when she said that Frankies is probably a coverup for the mob. Now I didn't actually see any guns or italians(or is it russians for the mob?), which are quite crucial elements, but for the sake of a good story lets say that I did. Hopefully they don't come and kill me now.

Broken Glass

I had always thought of myself as a positive person. One who sees the glass as being half full instead of half empty. But I think, after only a day and a half of training, that being a pessimist is much easier. That way you can horribly maim all of the people that you are working with..besides a select few...and not feel bad about it. I think that is my goal for tommorow. It seems like a much better idea then sitting and attempting to listen to people talk all day. I say attempting because i probably missed over half of it because i was so bored. Oh well, i suppose if I pick them off one at a time no one will notice..or suspect me. If they do, well, then they just get to be next on the list.

How many tries do you think it took to create brownies?

Honestly, have you ever thought about that? I think it would take a lot because you would have to find a recipe that wasn't too wet or too dry, too sweet or not sweet enough, cooked too long or not long enough... I don't know that I would be willing to put in all the effort. Especially when there is no guarantee that it would ever taste good. Maybe they made them by mistake..
The reason I am talking about this is because I just made brownies. I couldn't find the vanilla extract though so I used maple instead. Now I am just hoping they taste good. I also put maple in the icing, just for good measure. Oh well, I am not going to be the one eating them anyways. And they won't be eaten until I am in another province so I am not to concerned.

Unconventional Methods

When most people see a door, such as an elevator or skytrain door, closing they reach out their hand to stop it so that they can still make it through. Other people, who I will not mention, take a more unconventional method and try to stop it using only their arms. One such person is Cassy. Okay I know I said I would not mention names but I couldn't help myself. It is quite entertaining to see both her arms pinned to her side by sliding sky train doors, and listning to the door start beeping because it can't close properly. I suppose it works just as well as a hand though seeing as she still made it onto the train mostly unscathed. Really, bruises from sliding doors can be seen as battle wounds, and I suppose that that is pretty cool.

Welcome to BC, where it is always raining..at least a little bit

So, In preparation for my summer of nonstop loud, with Patti and Reide, I have decided that it would be a good idea to buy earplugs in advance. Just kidding. I really don't think it will be that bad. I am actually quite excited to spend the summer with them. It will be quite entertaining I am sure.
I'm not really sure what to write, seeing as summer hasn't started yet. And despite the fact that I am quite sure that you have been making fun of me in yours I really can't come up with anything good. I suppose I have all summer to retaliate so it should be fine.

(Ang this is for you...)
Peace out,
Jen
